THE STORY OF A BUTTERFLY

The Story of a Butterfly

story of a yellow butterfly

Once upon a time there was a beguiling, beautiful and a magnificent garden. And at the very southern end of the garden there was an egg lying on a big green leaf.

At night the egg lay peacefully on the leaf but when the morning came out a very hungry caterpillar. Right away it started munching on the leaf that it slept last night. It was very hungry and one by one it ate up all the leaves of that branch and moved on to the other. The afternoon came and the caterpillar was now lazily munching on the fresh green leaves. It was crawling from one leaf to another munching on them.

The night came again and the caterpillar curled up against the branch and slept and when the morning arrived, he went to do his job again…the munching. He did the same thing as the previous day and kept on munching and munching moving on from one leaf to another. The same thing went on for about 7 days exactly. And when the night came it built a cocoon for itself and went inside it and did not move at all. It stayed the same way for an entire week not even moving a bit.

Then the morning came again and there was a beautiful butterfly in the place of caterpillar wiggling its way out of its cocoon. It took a little while for the butterfly to come out of its cocoon but it finally managed to come out. It was the most beautiful and gorgeous butterfly. It looked ugly when it was a caterpillar but now it is transformed into a beautiful butterfly. Its wings were colorful and they were fluttering widely.

The butterfly then started to fly from one flower to other drinking the nectar from the flowers. It was a beautiful sight to bear in the southern part of the garden. The butterfly added beauty to the already beguiling, beautiful and a magnificent garden.

The name of the garden was heard in the town and many people visited the garden and to especially check on the southern part of the garden. When they saw the butterfly flying from one flower to other, they were all so elated and with great delight they praised our God in heaven and appreciated Him for creating that beautiful butterfly.

Moral of the story:

We all have a past, a past that was ugly and unattractive. A past filled with pain and hurt but trust in the Lord and wait on Him. He will surely one day turn you into a beautiful person and at that time you will not even remember your past. God will turn your mourning into a beautiful dance.

For the Holy Bible says:

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is; his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Romans 12:2

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11
